The iphone is not really a option for me so what androids phones work with this provider? I am not getting anywhere when I call and talk to customer service, they do not seem to not know much about what is available for the blind. Does the android have the voice all ready on the phone like the iphone or do I have to get software like talks or mobile speak for this phone. I text more than I talk on it so I want a texting type key board. Any info would be grate.

why won't the IPhone work for you? and in order to get android working you need to buy some stuff for it from my understanding. VZW really isn't good with helping us unless you know exactly what you want

Cost. At&t wants to charge me 500 to get with them plus the cost of the phone be cause I have no credit and verizon wants to charge even more be cause I am all ready a customer. Finding one used is about the same amout.

you're not going to get much better with android, just because it's a different phone doesn't mean the fees for not having credit and stuff will just go away.

bla! kay let someone who uses a android help you!. You need sighted assistant to help you install talkback, spiel two free screenreaders. Moble accessibility is a paid screenreader for $100 but it comes with 10 apps that help you use your phone. So ya its wurth the cost and please do not comapir it to moblespeak. You also do not have to use the touch screen fore everything you would like to do, you can get a slider keyboard with your phone as long as it is a slider touch screen phone. I hope this helps, ask those who have a android phone who is blind and has not stuck there head in the apple coollade so far that they can not see the day light of freedom! oops android!! lol. seriously I have a android phone I love it.

actually you don't with an IPhone anymore, if you have a stable wireless connection or want to use up your data you can download most anything directly to the phone now. maybe not your music on your computer yet but apple is working on wireless sync in IOS 5

It seems like At&T's data plan is a lot cheaper compared to Vorizon. Any thoughts? I was seriously considereing getting an Android, instead of an Iphone, as I've heard good things about them. How's the internet connectibility, and how complicated is the voice setup? What models have worked for you guys? You can't sync your music from your computer to your Iphone? What! All my music's on my computer! I hope there's a way I can do that soon. I'm due for a new phone in a month or two, and want to explore my options. Also, is there a touch screen tactile overlay for a Droid like there is for an Iphone? Thanks for your input!

that's not true, the app to sync to an IPhone, is free. it'll not even be cloud based for your local libray in IOS 5.

The point is as far as features Iphone seems to bee playing ketch up! sorry!. Wants you get sighted assistance to set up your speach fore the screenreader and I hope this is fixed in ice cream sanwidge its very easy to use a android or droid based phone. So yes! Iphone users you do not have to use sighted assistance to set up your speach I think but android users like me we did but wants that is done your set!. Oh, guess what! if you do not like the speach engine you can change it. I had s vox but now have changed it to Lequinto susan. So to the poster who wants to get a android phone! go fore it. They do have slider keyboards and if you want a total touch screen like me you good to go. As fare as if the total touch screens have a tacktle lay over fore them! no not that I know of at this time.
